Marijuana News: November 2010:California Proposition 19 :
The Legalization of Marijuana for Adult Consumption.
Wednesday Nov 3, 2010
46.2 % of American voters in California voted in favour of Legalizing Marijuana for Adult Consumption in California.
53.8 % of American voters in California voted Against Legalizing Marijuana for Adult Consumption.
So, Proposition 19 did Not Pass.
The Marijuana Prohibition continues in California.
That said, the momentum for the Legalization of Marijuana for Adult Consumption in California is very strong. This ballot question and this vote has brought unprecedented intelligent debate about this issue across the United States, Canada and beyond.
Marijuana.Ca gives strong kudos to those who support ending the Marijuana Prohibition.
This is a brand new day.
Lots of work to be done in Canada, the US and beyond, on this issue.
Marijuana.Ca will now be updating on a more regular basis.
At least once a week, likely more often.

Urgent: RCMP busts Canadian seed seller.
"But not only were the RCMP out to bust the principals involved in the seed-selling, they also targeted customers.

Steve Kubby Alert. Urgent!
Steve was arrested upon arrival in San Francisco and has been in jail since Thursday night, and is now in jail in Placer, California.
He has adrenal cancer and faces a heart attack, stroke, or death if his blood pressure spikes. He is being denied medicinal cannabis in jail and is already experiencing a decline in his health. Medicinal cannabis moderates his blood pressure.
Steve is currently in solitary confinement and still being denied medicinal cannabis.

Marijuana.Ca has chosen to endorse the NDP in this Federal Election on Monday January 23rd, 2005
We are also concerned about the potential significant harm that Stephen Harper and the Conservatives will cause with respect to the marijuana issue and others issues, and support those who are opposing Harper by different means, including voting for the NDP, where they are most likely to win and for Liberals where they are most likely to win, and for Greens where they are most likely to win.
The NDP supports the Regulation of Marijuana (similar to Alcohol and Tobacco),
Green Party puts the Regulation of Marijuana (similar to Alcohol and Tobacco) into their election platform
The Conservative Party plans to continue giving criminal records to Canadians for personal possesion of Marijuana.
They also plan on giving two year minimum jail sentences for Canadians convicted of growing 2 kilograms or more, of Marijuana.
The Liberal Party plans to eliminate criminal records for possession but also will give fines of up to $500 for personal possession or growing up to 3 plants for personal use. They also plan on doubling the maximum jail sentence for growing to 14 years in jail.
